Start Location

The GranFondo will start in Stanley Park at Brockton Point (by the totem poles). Vehicle access to Brockton Park will be closed at 5:45am to avoid congestion in the park. Anyone wanting to drop off a rider can use one of the recommended drop off locations which will be announced shortly.

Riders will begin heading west at the Nine O’clock Gun on Stanley Park Drive and continue around Brockton Point Lighthouse, winding along the two-lane road through Stanley Park. Caution is urged at about 2.5km where riders will take a hairpin left turn and start a 3.5% climb for about 1km up Prospect Point hill to make their way onto the Stanley Park Causeway. Once on the causeway, riders will enjoy a spectacular view over the Lions Gate Bridge and up Taylor Way to get onto the upper levels Trans Canada Hwy with a right of way at all intersections. Then the journey begins along the beautiful Sea to Sky highway all the way to Whistler.

Holly Adems King / Queen of the Mountain competition

The KOM/QOM is called the Holly Adems KOM/QOM in honour of Holly Adems, Coordinator with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. We are grateful for her impact on the RBC GranFondo Whistler and are proud to be part of her legacy.
